I am a Production Apprentice in the Prop Shop for the 2024-2025 school year at The Juilliard School. I highly value this opportunity. It has given me a safe space to work on my craft and become a more confident artisan.

Original upholstery of couch for The Marriage of Figaro. Un- upholstering took by-f ar longer to do than re-upholstering the couch. There were several interesting aspects of this couch that made it harder to pull apart. I had never seen as many staples in a piece of furniture as this couch. You can see in the right bottom corner of this photo, the legs were upholstered. We decided to pull the
Couch as bare-bones as needed at this point.

Couch is finished! A butt board and cushions were tacked to the couch upon director request later.
A Martini and glass of red wine made from gel wax for The Marriage of Figaro. The Olives were made out of fake grapes, sealing wax, and a bit of paint to tone them down.
Bloody Marys made out of gel wax, paint, dye, and dry herbs. Celery and straws were then added. These are for The Marriage of Figaro.
Rocking Horse's helmet was made out of craft foam, hot glued, and painted. This was for the Marriage of Figaro.
Beer sign made on circit from 2 plastic domes.. LED Lights were put on the inside of the sign. To keep the sides together, bendy ply was epoxied to one side and screwed to the other. Finally, rigging hardware was added to the top. This was for Mosquitos.
Chime cover for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. The Dragonfly was 3-D printed, attached to the card board backing and all painted. The wooden pieces were added over the already existing structure, then stained and sealed. Finally, the wooden buttons were attached.
